I purchased this jacket for my wife as I have owned one for a couple of years.
She loves this jacket for the versatility, lightweight and warmth. The jacket is perfect for walking the dog in the cold, shopping, and is now worn to work on a daily basis.
We looked at a competing brand that cost $200 more with less down. This coat is a bargain and offers lightweight warmth in extremely cold temperatures.
This ultralight sweater is exactly what I was looking for!! I need it for extended backpack trips, alpine skiing, and cold days outside. My recommendation to make this garment even better is to add a velcro closure around the cuffs so that you can tighten up if necessary.
I bought the long version of this jacket and love it..so I went back for the jacket. Both are warm, seem to adjust to the temperature so I am always comfortable. And so light, easy to manage when I am inside and need to carry the coat with me...also, they pack up easily, taking little space. Just Great!
