"I like the construction and the style. I live in Central California where during the winter, it's cold in the morning and at night. The Jac-Shirt provides plenty of insulation. The style reminds me of 70's clothing that I grew up with. I'm just glad I was able to get a hold of a pair before they are sold out."

Terrific Design, Love the Flat Shirt Collar!,

"The styling is awesome!!! Usually I avoid "puffy" jackets because the design is so cumbersome and/or unflattering. So I was leery about this one. Kudos to Bean for getting it right!
The shirt styling is cool, and a nice change from the "ski lodge" look a lot of down jackets possess. But my favorite feature is the flat shirt collar. I have a short neck, and a standup collar rubs against my neck and face. The flat collar gives you the choice of how you'd like to wear it (up in cold wind, or down when you want it out of the way). Also, I've layered this with a hooded sweatshirt underneath (something you normally could not do with a standup collar) and it looked great.
I'm 6' 2" and ordered it in a tall size and it fits wonderful. I would love to have a vest version of this jacket; also, I think this jacket would look great in bright kelly green."

"This jacket is extremely light weight and yet offers a considerable amount of warmth. Perfect to wear when just walking or doing chores in colder weather. You will appreciate it's weight if you find yourself having to carry it while shopping at the Mall. The style is great and the closure snaps are a very cool design (leave it to Bean)."

"I recently moved out of South Louisiana and needed something a bit warmer. Found this jacket online, and I instantly fell in love with the styling. I was able to fit a fleece liner underneath without inhibiting my movements. However, the jacket is plenty warm, and I love the shade of blue they used. The only thing I found that bothers me a little bit is that there isn't a zipper under the buttons, but this is only a minor annoyance. Overal a great jacket for the price."

"This a very warm jacket (it's 650 down-filled, remember?) for a fair price.
It has an old-fashioned/classic look but the materials and fit are contemporary. It's slightly more trim than the old stuff but still fits a medium-heavyweight sweater underneath. I tried and can confirm this. I ordered the blue and it's darker than what you see. I'd call it a dark Cobalt and thankfully, the material isn't shiny. Plus, the collar is fluffy and will keep your neck warm.
5 stars if it was offered in Green, alas.
I see a positive trend at LLB..."
