I don't usually like buying pants online. I like to try them on first. I was totally pleased when I tried these on. They fit just as I had hoped they would. Just like every type of clothing item from LL Bean. All you really need to do is check the size description. I've been doing this and have been well pleased with the results. The color and style worked for me and I will buy same pants in another color in the future.
The fabric is thin and rough feeling. These pants run small. The chocolate brown color was just okay. I think LL Bean is trying to keep the price down but I would rather pay more for good quality soft plush corduroy. I have returned them.
These pants are obviously very popular, so much so that it was difficult getting a pair in a size 4 petite, any color. Finally snagged one in the dark loden. Unfortunately they are too big in the waist and hips. They slip down to where my tush stops them from falling off, and frankly I could live with the hiphugger bit, but then the crotch is about 3-4 inches too low. I don't mind the wide legs and a somewhat loose fit. I have the Saturday denim jeans, 100% cotton, from a few years ago, and the fit of these cords is similar but seems larger and longer. The jeans shrank enough that I kept them, but since these cords are not 100% cotton I'm skeptical about being able to shrink them to fit. I am 5'2" and about 112 lbs., thick waist and narrow hips, muscular build, definitely not delicately petite, apparently not shaped right for these pants, and so sad...
