I tried on a pair of regular size 12 in the Outlet Store and asked whether LLBean made these in petite. Not only did the sales assistant check on line for me, but she phoned and helped me place the order right there and then. The pants arrived two working days later. And yes the petite were a perfect fit and very comfortable. Ladies, there is a real difference between regular and petite sizing all over, not just in the length of the leg. It is definitely worth looking out for the petite sizes if you are short like me. . .
Love these cords! Only two problems: They don't come in black, which would be a nice addition, and my size always seems to be sold out in the colors I want. I wore my blue pair for two years, and they are starting to wear a bit, and I can't replace them b/c you have been sold out for 2 months! C'mon, folks -- if they sell this well, you need to plan to replenish your inventory.
I bought three pair, dark brown, tan, and a berry color. I'm a little over 5' 11" usually 35/36 length and these were fine. The rise I feel on a "long" was a tad short, but not enough for me to pay to return them. The legs are just a tad loose, but I have thin hips/butt/and legs. Very warm and comfy! Will wear them with my new boots from LL Bean (which I LOVE) all winter.
