ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, not too heavy
I wore these for the first time today(in the 60's here) to work and am very happy with them. They fit me well all over, I am more of a modified apple shape so the cut works well for me. My only reason for 4 stars is that I usually prefer a narrow leg but I purchased these knowing that they were boot cut. The deep khaki is a nice color and I like the weight of the corduroy. I would love a stone color because tan is just too yellow for me.
I HAVE 4 DIFFERENT CORDS> NOW,MISSED OUT ON TAN,EVERYONE SEEMS TO LOVE TAN,ME TOO,WHEN THESE GO ON SALE THEY ARE QUICKLY SOLD OUT OF MY COLORS FOR A 50 YR OLD!!!I DO LOVE THESE,I PAID FULL PRICE FOR TAN,A LITTLE PLAY AT HIP AND STRAIGHT NOT BAGGY LEGS LET US OLDER WOMEN STILL LOOK GOOD ON WEEKENDS WITH CORD WIDE WALE BIG SHIRT-WHITE BLOUSE,THERE YOU GO
I wish you'd carry these pants in non-corduroy cotton as well. Of all the pants available, these are the ones that fit me best. Most of the other petites are 28", a tad too short, but these are 29," just perfect. I know I sound like Goldilocks, but I love these pants.
Beware the ominous 'slightly fitted through hips & thighs...' description. The fit is so slight as to be unnoticed, on me, at least. And this seems to apply to most of LLB's pants. Nearly all are 'slightly fitted'--these cords, for example. The waist was fine in a size 6 med/tall, but the legs flapped in the breeze & looked silly on me. "Slightly fitted' translates as an odd cut that flairs outward starting under the waist & then drops straight down from there to the hem. I curve slightly inward from the top of my leg going down toward my knee. This is in keeping with general human anatomy, I believe. I surely wish a few of Bean's pants were cut this way.
I do not believe this is a 'curvy' vs 'straight cut' issue. It is a basic 'leg cut' issue. I see many complaints about how huge the legs are on a number of LLB pants. These cords were no exception. I really wanted these pants to work, but back they went. Now, I must always order 'skinny pants' from Bean's Signature line just to get what seems to be a normal fit. Oh well. I'm glad you have that line available!
