I was disappointed in these pants. They are described as "narrower from waist through hips." Not true. The waist was a bit snug and as you get to the hips it gets wider. I ordered petite, the length was fine but the leg is not in proportion to the length. The pant leg width is so wide. I have yet to find a good petite pant that doesn't have wide baggy pant legs. Wish LLBean would get petite proportions right.
I like these pants but they run long and large in size for petites.Don't know when the inseam for petites changed but I didn't grow any taller-I wonder if others have.It would be helpful to indicate the inseam on the sizing.I am typically a size 8, these run larger than most.I have yet to wash them and am hoping they shrink a little. If they do not and I order another pair in different color, I will order a size 6. The plum color is very nice and great for winter.

These corduroys fit me well for the "favorite fit" style. Usually the waist is way too big, but these are just a little too big. I solve the problem with a belt. I like the full, boot-cut legs. I'd like the regular pants to be about an inch longer in length. The talls are too long. The waist is a good height for me. I've got these pants in about six colors by now, and I just bought the royal plum. These pants are a staple for my winter wardrobe. My normal size is a little bigger than usual except for in the hips. The fabric and construction is durable, and I like the texture of the corduroy wales. Like other reviewers, I would like to see these pants come black.

I have very skinny legs, so although these pants fit as they're supposed to and are gloriously long enough for me in the Tall, they are not as flattering as they might be. However, the corduroy is of better quality than what you see at the competitors', the color (plum) is succulently rich, and they are comfortable as can be. They aren't "date pants" but "wear all day" pants. I love how they come up high enough so that I'm not pooching out at the top, but not up to my ribcage like some of the Bean jeans do. These are a keeper!
