I usually wear a size 10 but when I first bought these a few years ago I needed to switch to a 12. Now, I need to switch back to 10...I haven't changed but the sizing did. In spite of that, these are great pants and I wear them all the time. One complaint: the front pockets could be longer. This is true of many womens' pants but I'd love to see LLBean start a larger-pocket trend.
These are a good pair of corduroy pants. I really like the plum color which is hard to find. The corduroy is soft and feels good (I am fussy about fabric). The corduroy is a bit wide for my taste (I loved the thin corduroy from the Camden Corduroy pants) but looks good. These run very long. I am petite and usually 29" inseam is just right but with these on I almost trip over the cuff. I have them rolled up at the moment but will hem them when I get my new sewing machine. I am 5' 4", petite pants should not be too long.
I had the same experience as another reviewer: For years, I've bought Med. Tall in all L.L. Bean pants. Since that wasn't an option with these, I chose Tall. They are at least 4" too long. They are also very large in the waist, but otherwise fit well in the hips and legs, so I doubt going down to a 6 is going to work. Too bad, because I was looking forward to adding these to my winter wardrobe.
I love these pants and they are all I wear in the winter to work and to church because they are so warm and comfortable. But please make them in black! I have almost all of the other colors but can't believe there isn't a black pair. Black goes with everything and I've seen other reviewers wishing for black as well, so please make them in black! :) Thank you!
