Very flattering and comfortable fit. I wish they came in black as I would order them but the dark brown is a lovely rich brown. I will definitely order these again
I have purchased several pants from LLBean and loved that they came in medium tall, the perfect length for me. I also like the fit of the Saturday pants and was delighted to see the velour back in stock. I ordered a size 12 tall (since there was no medium/tall choice). The pants were not only too long at least by 4 inches, but they slid of my body even after I zipped and buttoned them. They are huge. I am very disappointed since I have found LLBean merchandise to be of high quality and of a consistent size.
I was so looking forward to getting some nice velveteen pants for winter. The waist fit fine but the legs are incredibly big, so they must be made for a much more curvaceous person. The legs are supposed to be straight so I would assume they would fit in proportion to the waist (size 4). To me the legs could have been for a size 8 - 10. Way too big and disappointing.
I noticed that there were not many reviews for the velveteen pants, so I have decided to add my two cents. First, I am 5 foot 4 and weigh 130 pounds. I also carry my weight in my thighs - they are very muscular. I usually wear a size 8 regular, and that is true when I buy the classic fit from LL Bean. However, in the new "favorite fit" I am a size 6 - always. I have a pair of shorts, a pair of cropped pants, a skirt and these pants. I ordered a 6 regular in black, and they fit great. They gap a little at the back of the waste, but I can wear a belt. I have also found from experience that after I wash my pants, that gap usually goes away in pants that have stretch. I expect that will be true for these. I have not washed them yet, but I plan to NOT put them in the dryer. I don't think it would be good for the velveteen, and I do not want them to shrink too much. I was able to try on the other 2 colors in a store - I did not care for them - the colors looked a bit washed out to me. On the other hand, the black is a lovely, dark shade, and the material feels very expensive. I actually feel skinny in these pants. Regular length is fine with a flat or a low heel. I will be able to dress these up or down- especially for the holidays. I can't wait to wear them! So when you order the favorite fit, I would suggest going down one size from your normal size.
