"Saturday Jeans" would better be dubbed "Farmer John Jeans," with apologies to the Fashionable Farmers Coalition. The thick material with yellow stitching is hokey. The waist is too loose so if you like showing everyone your Monday-Tuesday-Wednesdays like all the youngins, go ahead. I sit on the floor to play with my kids and feel a draft. Plumbing is not on my resume. I pass on the "Mom Jeans" that come up to the clavicle but come on. The leg openings are also ridiculously huge. They would be great for wearing over a walking cast because you could get them on without cutting your jeans. Alas, I haven't broken my foot (but probably will now, because of bad karma) so it's back they go.
I have tried sooo many different jeans & find these jeans to be a great fit for me. I find that all the jeans that have spandex in them tend to bag in the rear end once you've been wearing them for any length of time. It gives you the appearance of being bigger than you really are. I'm 5'5 1/2" & get the med. tall so that I can wear heels with them. I hope L.L. Bean keeps these jeans around for a long time as they are the only one's around that seem to fit me properly. ;>))
I am pretty tall 5'8" and wear a size 8. I got a size 10 in these to ensure the length. The length was awesome, however the fit was tight. Be aware that there isn't stretch in this. They are very stiff. I think that they will take a lot of wear to break in. But they look good!
