I purchased a size 4, petite, mustard seed colour, and FYI, it is a sunny yellow - not quite the mustard I was expecting. I'm 5'5" with a longer torso, and it's difficult to find pants that a) fit me and b) flatter. These pants meet the two criteria(!). Unlike other LLBean pants that I've tried, the hip area doesn't flare to make me look like a pear, or worse, stumpy. The fit is perfect - as in, if this shrunk in the wash, I would have to return it. Am test driving it today in the dryer, and hopefully, as other reviewers have commented, it will not shrink.
If there were other colours that were not so bright, I'd get more of these. The one complaint I have is that the rise is a little on the short/tight side. Not as loose as I'd like it, hence, the fear re:shrinking in the wash... (so, the 4 star rating - color and rise).
Otherwise, very comfortable, medium weight pants - not too thick to be bulky, but not too thin - good for driving, cleaning the home, light hiking, or just lounging around.
I looked at these pants skeptically for a long time before trying them on. At 6 ft. tall, a pant must usually be "TALL" to not look silly on me. But, I have to say the M/T are perfect! (don't come in tall). I have been hang drying, but one went into dryer recently and fortunately, it didn't shrink at all!! These pants are a great fit. Not too low cut. They stretch so don't buy loose. You will have to experiment if you are curvy or straight... I expected to be curvy, but they were too loose. I got two pairs !
I wish I had read updated reviews here, because obviously, I had to return mine for a larger size. Mine are the green ones to match the stripped navy sweater. Both look great together...but again, I personally find it a bit frustrating when it comes to trying LLB clothes on.
I haven't bought cords for years, usually don't like them. I love these! Lightweight and good stretch. After reading reviews I took the advice and ordered up one size. I'm glad I did as the cords definitely wouldn't have fit my usual size 10. The 12's fit very well, maybe a little too loose in the waist but a belt cinches me in without buckling. Nice cut and love the chocolate colour. I'm going to order another pair and since I got the $10 coupon a matching sweater.
