Prosruns large, sweatshirt not rugby, maroon color is brown
This robe is more sweatshirt fabric than rugby shirt fabric, which means it's thicker and fleecier than expected. As other reviews indicate, it runs large. I got a S for my 6' 150lb husband, and the sleeves could stand to be maybe 1/2 inch longer, but the M would be much too big. He likes that the sleeves have a ribbed cuff, and don't flop around and get into the pancake batter. I ordered the maroon color as the navy was sold out in S, and I'm not a fan -- it's really more brown than burgundy. But the robe turns out to be so scrumptiously soft and warm that despite all of these issues, I want one for myself!
The Rugby Robe is exactly what I thought it would be. It feels just like a favorite rugby shirt! It isn't "heavy" but still substantial. Perfect for cool mornings or right out of the shower. The fit is roomy and comfortable, just the right length (I'm 6ft).
Bought this for my husband and he simply loves it!! Similar to other reviewers, he wears it most every evening now that the temperatures are cooler. He was never a pajama wearer, but last year our daughter and I bought him the Chamois Pajamas and he wears them every evening. Now he also loves wearing this robe! Thank you L. L. Bean for making such nice lounging clothes for men too!!
I ordered this for me and picked a monogram style which I felt was feminine; it is totally overwhelmed by the LLBean logo; big mistake! Love the robe but the monogram style I choose looks ridiculous( thin script) Now my size XS is sold out so I may just keep the robe as it is supper comfortable. ORDER A BOLD MONOGRAM!!!
