I had to shave my head in support of a family member who has cancer. I bought this robe because of the hood. It turns out it would have been a great robe even without the hood. The sweatshirt material is heavy enough to warm me up no matter how cool the house is in the morning. The hood is exactly what my head needs on those mornings.
Soft, warm, and the hood keeps my neck warm if I don't put it up. If I do put it up, it keeps my bald head warm. Just another wonderful product for Winter from LL Bean.
My son outgrew his LLBean Kids fleece robe, so I ordered him the rugby robe. He's 11 years old, 5'3". Ordered the Mens medium. It's a little long in the arms, but since it has cuffs he can roll them up. He just loves it. It's very soft and cozy. Can't comment on the durability just yet since it's new but it looks well made and so far, so good. Now, I want to get one for my husband, too!
I like this hooded robe made out of sweat-shirt-like material. I chose the unlined version, bought one for myself and one for my son. He raved about it, saying it was the nicest robe he ever had. We are both very satisfied, find them extremely comfortable, and stylish in a relaxed manner. It's something you don't see in retail stores and a great gift idea.
