This is the best item I have ever purchased from LL Bean in over 20 years. The fabric and the sleeves are like regular rugby shirt material. It washes well with no shrinkage or wrinkling. I'm a pretty big guy (6'4") and ordered this robe last week, mostly based on other user reviews. Well, I just received it yesterday and have not taken it off since. It is BY FAR the most comfortable robe I've ever worn. I ordered an XXL Tall, and it definitely has more room that I need (which isn't a problem) and is as soft as your favorite college sweatshirt. My girlfriend put it on an hour ago, and is refusing to give it back! I think I need to buy another one now. A must buy.
I am 6'1" and 230 lbs. This robe wraps completely around with a LOT of room to spare and hangs about 5" from the floor. The weight is perfect for chilly Texas winters, like a heavy sweat shirt. I like the draw string on the hood also. I wear 35/36 " sleeves in a shirt and these sleeves are perfect and unlike other robes don't have that funnel look. In short, its nice to see a product that is perfect designed and constructed. Please make this in other colors and make a woman's version for my wife. She wants one too!
First, I rarely write reviews unless an item just knocks me off my feet and this little robe does just that. It is so comfy that all I want to do is curl up on the couch!! I have been searching for a good year on the perfect comfy robe and when I saw this one, well..just knew it would be perfect. I'm a 5'8' 140 lb lady and I got the mens xl tall in navy. The length hits about 4" above my ankles and the pockets are not too low at all. It is soooo soft, medium weight and cozy. I turned the cuffs (about 3" wide) inward and it's the perfect length with no tightness on my wrists which I loathe. Yes, it's big on me but that's what I was looking for. I also got my son (13, 5'7") the gray in mens large tall (only because they only had talls left!) and both of them monogrammed. WE LOVE THEM! sorry this is long, but I can't say enough nice things about this item) Get more stuff like this for us ladies!!
