i purchased this for our 2010 Alaskan cruise and land tour. It was great for this purpose as we did need our passports...I actually used the outside velcro pocket for those...easier to get to. It would be nice if the one big inside pocket zipped also. You could also hook your camera case if small enough to the shoulder strap and it was easy to keep track of...if you only want a passport carrier this is not the case for you, but if you don't want to carry a purse or wallet...it's great.
we purchased 2 organizers for a trip to Europe and used them everyday as our only purse/wallet. very sturdy construction and roomy. was a bit cumbersome to close when accessing inner pockets but loved the features.
I carry this bag when I usher, sell tickets or otherwise volunteer at various arts programs. Holds what I need and keeps my hands free for the tasks at hand.
The passport case is a perfect purse/wallet. I bought one to take to England five years ago; this is my second, and it is well improved. The catch is much stronger, the inside has a zipper closure to prevent falling open.
Still needing improvement are the credit card portion, which needs a Velcro closure, and the "wallet" portion (which I use for coupons) needs a zipper
