Zipper works very well. The wrist strap can be tucked inside when zipping this organizer closed, which is nice for stowing. Here is how I use mine: Tickets go in the outside pocket. Small interior pockets hold credit cards and other ID. Large interior zippered pocket holds 2 passports and currency. Small interior zippered pocket holds coins. One unzippered interior pocket is big enough for my check register.
I just got back from my trip yesterday and this little guy was a lifesaver. It helped keep me organized and was a godsend in helping me reduce stress. I kid you not. I highly recommend.
