One reviewer thought the fur wasn't as thick as the older hats. We think its comparable. I'd like to see the little ear flap be functional to improve hearing when necessary. However, The old hat my husband had did have a functional ear flap and it didn't improve hearing as much as one would think. The color of the leather was a good match for the fur. It looks very well constructed.

Attractive, fun, hat-totally keeps your entire body warm in 20below weather! I like to add a polartec beenie under my hat to keep it clean for life, but also to assure no air pockets of cold air. I bought a small & wear a 6 3/4 hat normally-the bomber hat was a good fit-not too big or too small. I still like the beenie under it as the inside is slick (wonderful fur trimmed).
I bought this hat for my husband who is VERY particular about most things, especially his clothing. He loves it. It fits well (I got a large after reading reviews about hats being too small) and the quality is much better than other hats I had seen in stores. The shedding of the fur lining is very minimal compared to other brands, also. Overall, a great hat.
