Running my snowblower when the temperature is near zero has been miserable since moving to Wisconsin from New England, but this Mad Bomber Hat will make it a walk-in-the-park :-) The material, insulation and workmanship is excellent and exactly what I hoped to receive. What cold?!
Just received my mad bomber hat yesterday and used it for the first time today. Our temp was 22 this morning the hat held up to all i had expected and more. My son got one as a gift several years ago and has enjoyed it very much. But i having been hunting this hat for the past year, And it has not been disapointing in any areas. I waited a long time to find this hat . Comfort,fit,style it was worth the wait thanks llbean. (all my family wants to wear it )
I love my red fabric mad bomber that I got for Christmas two years ago. It has kept me warm through Boston and Toronto winters, and I think that's saying a lot. :) This year I bought the black leather version for my boyfriend. It arrived promptly, and I'm very pleased with its excellent quality and warmth. I have only one reservation, which is that I bought it in a large (my boyfriend and I have the same size head, and my medium was a bit snug), and the large isn't much larger than my medium hat. Perhaps this is because the older hat has had time to stretch out, but thanks to L.L. Bean's great return policy, I don't see an exchange being any issue if I find the hat to be too small come Christmas.
I'd definitely recommend a mad bomber hat to anyone dealing with extremely cold weather. I know they're listed under men's products, but I find their quality far surpasses ladies' bomber-style hats, and as a stylish lady I urge other women to consider these if a bomber style is what they're looking for.
