I have had the hat for over a week and the smell (I assume from fumigation) is almost gone. My bigger complaint is the quality of the fur. Five or so years ago I bought the mad-bomber, wool red plaid hat. It's still in good condition, but the fur on that hat is both twice as long and twice as thick. The fur on this hat is skimpy and thin, especially on the forehaed panel. Very disappointing. I wouldn't buy it again nor recommend it. Thank you.
I've always loved this hat. Never before had a reason to purchase one, but now I have my own. Riding around the neighborhood on my scooter, this hat keeps my head and especially my ears warm and toasty. Thank you, I will enjoy this winter.
