I bought this hat for my son for his birthday. He lives in Texas, but works outside quite a lot. He LOVES it!! He got to start using it right after Christmas because the temp was in the low 30s. He said his co-workers' reactions were: laughter, indifference and jealousy! Thank you L.L. Bean for such a great product.
Received my hat within 2 or 3 days after placing the order. Couldn't believe it arrived so quickly! Quality wise, hat is very nice. The stitching in the leather seems good. My only concern is that maybe the fur will start to wear off the ear flaps, but time will tell. This hat is WARM! My head and ears do not get cold AT ALL, and I am very sensitive to the cold. The hat is a little pricey, but it was my Christmas gift to myself, so I splurged and bought it.
Purchased this for my husband who is working on his private pilots license. The Hickory is darker than it appears on a monitor, closer to brown which is what I was looking for. He loves it, it is very warm and soft, very happy with the purchase.
