The MB leather hat was shedding rabbit fur as I took it out of the package. The fur was not securely sewn on the left ear flap. I could not give it as a Christmas present as I planned!
I was going to wait to give this to my husband for Christmas to use when he rides his motorcycyle. I gave it to him early so he could wear it while plowing snow. He said it was well made, fits great, very warm and best of all blocks the wind.
We recieved this hat yesterday and my husband absolutely loves it. He says "it's a lot of hat", and it is. The materials are lovely and well put together. Soft, pliable leather; super silky soft rabbit fur; and a quilted super comfy lining. It seems like a large hat but it fits him perfectly. It seems so large because it covers everything: back of the neck, ears, chin, forehead. This hat will keep him nice and toasty in the winter. I think I'm going to order one for myself. :)
Only point of concern was that we ordered the hickory one thinking that was the dark brown as shown, but we recieved a much lighter brown one, more like the saddle brown that was supposedly out of stock, but the tag on the hat said it was hickory, so *shrug*. Anyway I think the colors are mixed up or something.
Overall, we are very happy with our purchase and would have given it 5 stars if it had been the color we were expecting.
