I bought this hat for myself (Merry Christmas to me!). I choose the Hickory color and I was extremely happy with the color and the quality of the hat. It's warm and comfortable and I get a lot of compliments on it. My sister loved the hat so much that I just went and got her one, too (Merry Christmas to you!). We got the size small and it was a perfect size. I think a medium would have been to big. Wonderful, wonderful, hat. Did I mention it's a wonderful hat? :)
Bought this for my future son-in-law who lives in the frosty North. He's a little hard to buy for, but this year, when I saw it in your catalog, I immediately thought of him. He loves all out-doors activities... sports, hiking, just BEING outdoors! And coming from the South, a Michigan winter feel doubly brutal! The color and the size threw me a bit, and though the medium is snug, it's a nice kind of snug! And. the leather will stretch over time. It's very soft leather with the "MAD BOMBER" emblazoned on the side! I was happy to give something I knew would be used, and he seemed genuinely happy to receive it!
WANTED ONE SINCE I WAS A BOY, I LOVE THIS HAT, WARM IN MINUS DEGREE WEATHER WITH HIGH WINDS, I WISH I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT ONE YEARS AGO.............. A JOY TO WEAR UP OR DOWN, ITS SO FUZZY AND WARM, FEELS LIKE A RABBIT HUGGING YOUR HEAD............... I AM GOING TO BUY SEVERAL OTHERS FOR FAMILY MEMBERS...
I gave this as a gift to my husband as he always complains of a cold head and ears when shoveling snow--we have tried everything! This was the ticket. He has been thrilled with this Bomber hat and has thanked me several times for giving it to him. Now his ears are always toasty warm when he is working in the snow! Thank you, LL Bean.
