This hat was returned and a huge disappointment as there was not a snug, secure buckle under the chin. The top of the head felt warm, but because the ear flaps blew up from the wind, my spouse's ears became cold. All in all, unless you plan to wear the ear flaps up, the hat is not warm - nor functional.
