I bought two of these messenger bags when they were the deal of the day. They are nice to carry your laptop in, but are not highly padded. If you would be transporting your laptop in this often, I would invest in one that is padded more. I did get this monogrammed; it looks small but nice. I've only used it about 6 times so not sure how it will stand the test of time. Nice bag for any high school student. The strap is adjustable so could be used for Junior High.
Love the bag great for my 9 year old for school (got the medium sized bag) everything fits perfectly but I would however discourage getting the graffiti bag monogramed a complete waste of money since you cannot see the monogram as it blends into the print of the bag. I am so glad that I used my LL Bean card so I didn't have to pay for the monograming........
Bought this for my 5th grader and she tells me it doesn't hold as much as her old Critter's Backpack. She loves the colors and style, but can't carry it as easy with all she's trying to put in.
I got this for my daughter when she was going into 5th grade. There was plenty of room and is very useful. We soon discovered that my daughter isn't a messenger bag kind of person. It would have been great but it wasn't great for my daughter. We might have gotten a bag a little too big for her. Other then that, L.L. Bean is a great place to go for book bags. Almost all of the book bags my kids use are from L.L. Bean.
