This bag is perfect for what I was looking for - bigger than a purse, smaller than a backpack. It holds everything with ease (including my laptop a few times) and has plenty of pockets for the random little things too. The adjustable strap has a good hold and is easy to adjust with plenty of room to adjust to whatever length. I would definately buy another one!
I recently bought this messenger style backpack for myself to use for my college training as the current one I had was not big enough to hold my thick books, binder, and other school supplies, after much debate with myself and measuring the bag I was using I chose to get the Large sized one, it is so roomy that if I get more thick books I will have enough room for them all! It also has so many pockets that I could probably forget what I put in them! More than I could have expected so glad that I stuck it out and just ordered this one, after looking everywhere for one in the shops around my house. I had to order online because there isn't a store in my state. It is more convient to not have to take my kids with me in a store but I needed it now and it came before I was expecting it! Will definately refer others to use LLBean.com and am more than satisfied with my new bag!
I got the medium size messanger for my 4th grader. It is the perfect size for her. The zipper for the main compartment is excellent; nothing falls out when it gets tossed around. I wish the material was a little bit thicker, but it is holding up very well. My daughter is very tough on bags so don't be deceived by the thin material. It's a great bag.
