The bag is very nice, but the strap is way too long. Even when adjusted to it's shortest, it is too long to just go over one shoulder. I had to take it apart and hsorten it on my sewing machine.
This bag is just the right size for kids who want to transition from their LLBean Original Book Pack to a messenger bag or something that's a little more their age. It's great for 5th graders and older. May need to order the bigger size for older kids w/ more stuff. The shoulder strap has lots of padding and is adjustable. This would make a great laptop bag as well for folks w/ smaller laptops.
