My 3rd grader loves this bag. It is large enough to hold a lot of books, lunch, water bottle, etc. My only complaint is that it does get heavy on her shoulder. But it is a wonderful bag that she will "grow into." I might even use it myself during the summer. It is definitely a quality messenger bag with great zippers, clasps, etc.
I used my bag just his week to fly from St Louis to Bangor for a family wedding. It was a fantastic carry-on bag with lots of compartments for photo ID, boarding passes, glasses and camera, without ever unzipping the interior of the bag. The interior was the perfect size for an extra set of clothes, toothbrush and other necessities in the event that my luggage would not make my connecting flight. It eliminated the need for a handbag and stowed under the seat beautifully. Thanks for a wonderful product!!!
I was really pleased with this messenger bag - great looks and lots of pockets and compartments. My only disappointment was the monogram - it was small and hard to read.

We ordered this messenger bag for our 7 year old and absolutely love it! We ordered the large size originally and found it to be too large, more for High School student+. LL Bean quickly shipped out the medium sized replacement bag embroidered and we received it just in time for the first day of school! We were very happy!!
