These are perfect on their own for walking when it is just a bit chilly. I like them for hiking; easy to tuck in pockets once I get warmed up. Fitting close to the fingers means it is easy to do other tasks with them on.
I bought these because I had lost a pair (of a different brand) which I'd loved. They work alright for basic use but I found they pilled up a lot which made them look really worn even though I had only had them a few months. They also seem to hold water for a while..not ideal when outside in the cold. They are alright overall but if you have the money I'd recommend getting a slightly higher quality pair.
