I really like the overall fit and weight and features of these shoes, but I'm afraid I've had some bad experiences with them so far. I bought one pair and had them split along the suede seam (as mentioned in another review). I returned them in exchange for another pair, but the next pair split in the exact same place. The suede seems to be the Achilles heel of these shoes. Moreover, the second pair had an uncomfortable fold in the side of the tongue that pressed painfully against my ankle. I was surprised by these problems, given Keen's reputation. I plan on returning them for another pair to try again, but my size is out of stock and so I'll need to wait. Hopefully the new ones will not let me down again.
I loved the boots right up to the time they split out along the suede accent...but as always, LL Bean is standing by their product and a new pair is on the way! I can't wait to get them...they are SO comfortable, warm and dry! Hopefully it was just a bad batch of suede and these will hold up!
