Fine Shirt, but sleeves are too long
PostedApril 11, 2011
Proslooks great from dryer
I don't know why LL Bean changed the size of their chambray shirts; the ones I ordered a few years ago fit fine, but on the medium size the sleeves are at least 1" too long. Otherwise the shirt is very good - it really doesn't need any ironing, not even touch-up after washing.

Disappointed

This shirt is quite handsome. It wasn't a stripe, but the plain blue.
I was surprised when I wore my shirt to work this week and my elbow popped through.
I thought that the shirt should last longer than 5 months being worn only once a week at most.
It was washed at home, no starch, just ironed.

Love them

ProsGreat Value, Comfortable, you can dress up or down
I ordered these in faded orange and moss green. My usual size was fine for me. The shirts are comfortable, the sleeves are the right length and I'm really happy with them. The fact that they're wrinkle resistant is a plus. I've touched them up with the iron and wear them to the office. Most folks are impressed with the fact that the colors aren't run of the mill. A great product.

not even close color match
PostedMarch 4, 2011
I ordered the solid-color easy-care chambray (item TC248929) in twig and beeswax. Online, twig is a very dark khaki or a medium brown with green undertones. Beeswax is a dark-toned, muted yellow. What I got in the mail was a light, bright lemon-yellow and a very pale, fleshy tan color that looks particularly bad on my skin. I thought I was just misremembering what I'd ordered, but checking back here, there is absulutely no way anyone paying attention would pass these dyelots as the advertised colors. Big fail for me. I didn't return because I don't like prolonged hassles over relatively unimportant things like clothes, but I won't order online from LL Bean again. Too bad; the person wearing them instead of me says they're great shirts.
