My brother bought one of these for my birthday, liked it so much I bought another one in a different color myself. No ironing needed. If you pull it out of the dryer and hang it up immediately it will come out almost like it was professionally laundered. The sleeves maintain their crease after countless washes. The shirts are neat enough for a business shirt and yet tough enough to take camping. The weight is perfect, light enough for warm (not hot) weather and thick enough for cool weather. Even cold weather with a thermal underneath is pleasant. I can't say enough good things about the Easy-Care Chambray.
I bought this as a successor to two Bean chambrays that I've worn routinely for four+ years. This new one lasted about 8 hours, with the fabric tearing beside the placket on the first wearing.
The fabric is much thinner than that of its predecessors and the fit is quite different - less roomy and far shorter in both the arms and body of the shirt.
This Chambray Sport Shirt, despite some stiff competition, is my favorite. It fits just right, the fabric is pleasant to the touch, does not wrinkle and is neither too thick, which makes me sweat nor too thin, which makes me cold. I've had it for six months or so and am about to get one in another color - though I'd rather it was just a bit less expensive.
Very disappointed in the 'wrinkle free' chambray shirts. Ordered two and thought I was getting the soft chambray experience. They were like wearing plastic bags. Very stiff and they never softened up like chambray does over time. Very disappointed. Will never order another 'wrinkle free' anything.
