These are my second pair of mocs. They are essential for my "in home" sanity and can't imagine not having them on in the house.'Nough said, get a pair NOW and stop the madness!!
I've looked a long time for replacements for a pair of very worn soft-sole sheepskin moccasins I've loved for years, but every replacement was a poor fit, cheaply made, or had a sole that was too hard. Finally found these in a "wide" style, and finally got moccasins that fit and are very comfortable. The sole is soft and flexible enough that these are as comfortable as my old "unsoled" ones, and much more practical. Very warm too. If you don't care for the tuft of wool they leave in the back as a sort of 'tail', a hair clipper works great to trim it. Great moccasins!
First I'll start with size. I originally ordered the scuffs in a 9 regular width. I'm usually at least a 9, but more like a 9.5 or 10 because I have short, wide feet. So it recommended to order a size down so I got 9. They were too big and the tiny edge at the back of the scuff did not stay on at all. So I returned them for a size 8 EE (wide) in the moccasin in dark brown (chocolate). They're wonderful. My feet stay warm even though my house is about 64 degrees F. They're comfortable, soft and I like the more durable bottoms for getting the paper in the morning. The laces do come untied frequently but it doesn't bother me much. You could glue them tied if you wanted. The only thing I didn't like was the fluff at the heal, I guess it's supposed to be decorative but these are men's slippers, not women's. Needless to say I cut/shaved it off with clippers. They look much better now.
