I've been wearing Bean mocs without soles for years, you know the kind with just the leather bottoms, and have gone through several pairs in a couple decades. With the recent financial downturn, we've turned down the heat several degrees and those mocs with only one layer of leather between me and the floor weren't keeping my feet warm. So when I needed replacements I went for these Wicked Good mocs, which are, indeed, wicked good. The extra sole provides extra insulation from cold floors, not that you really need it considering all the fluff stuff inside (manly fluff though, like fresh off a moose or something, so you needn't worry about masculinity issues). Plus, I can now go out and get the paper at 6 AM even if the walk is wet, without having to change into sneakers which is what I've been doing for years. Over all, these are truly great moccasins, and I can't believe I've avoided soled moccasins all these years. So hey, move up a notch, it's 2009, embrace soles and manly fluff and buy yourself a pair...you won't be disappointed.
My husband loved these from the moment he tried them on......they fit him PERFECTLY! This is because they come in extra wide and I didn't have to purchase slippers that were too long in order to get enough width -- HOORAY!!
These are the only slippers that my whole family wears. We get a new pair every Christmas and use the old ones for yard work. They keep your feet warm in the winter (eventhough we live in Phoenix). Have no intentions of changing brands
