The $70 slippers I have only had for a few months are already coming apart at the sole. I know they are guaranteed but I do not want to lose the use of the slippers and have all the hassle of sending them back so I will probably just glue them myself. NOT WORTH $70!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A few things I don't like and am sending them back. (1#. Both shoes looked like pointing to same direction, and toes were uneven #one toe is rounder and the other more pointed#, and I initially thought LLBean made a mistake sending me two right foot shoes. I was only able to tell which is left/right by looking at the shape of the rubber outsole. #2#. Big problem -- right fit but heel slips at each step due to the smooth cuff at heel and also the heel part is shallow -- it barely covers high enough on heel to not slip. I measured the heel to 2 inches only. This is for size 7. #3) The cuff is fixated and can not be turned up like I thought. All that nice looking shearling turned out to be just for the looks.
I give two stars for looking good and cozy but looks are only deceptive.
These slippers reach up to cover the back of my heel and sides of my ankles (unlike many other slippers I've had#. They allow me to step into them rather than bend over to hoist them onto my feet #appreciated). The sturdy soles are comfortable yet allow me to go outside in them if necessary. The lamb's wool is so soft and non-itchy that I assumed it was man-made. I recommend for the fussy house shoe buyer. They are well-made and will seemingly last me for a long time.
