LL Bean slippers - esp. the "Wicked Good" styles - are the only ones I've found that are really warm - not just warm looking. They are also durable enough to wear outside for those "run to the mailbox" or "go outside to get the dog" trips that arise. I used to wear the scuff style that was not available this year; but as I got several years use from my last pair I felt justified in retiring them. Ordered the moccasin style this year - just as good in quality but I did find that "ordering up" for half sizes wasn't necessary. Unless you are wearing very heavy socks, ordering DOWN a half size worked best for me.
I have worn these slippers for years and have reliably ordered new ones whenever the old ones wear out. This has changed. These are no longer quality made. They are not as comfortable, and one of them is already torn after trying to tighten the lace the very first time I wore them. The lining is different than the usual comfy lambswool. Also, there is a tag sewn into the interior of each slipper that has sharp edges and does not feel good against my feet. Sorry, LLBean, this is my first poor review for a product of yours.
I gave pair to my mom and sister (different colors) and they put them on right then and there, They say they are great. I didn't order up size to cover for the 1/2 and the love the way they fit.
