I bought a pair of wicked good moccasins a few years ago and was so pleased with them that I bought my son a pair for Christmas. When mine eventually started to get shabby, I ordered myself a new pair when I was visiting back home. Within a month the topstitching over the toes on one moccasin broke. Since I live overseas and returning them didn't seem worth the effort and expense, I repaired them myself. Otherwise pleased. Then several months later the stitching holding the moccasin and sole together gave way in the other moccasin. These moccasins were definitely not tight so that was not the reason. Now I usually wear my old ones because they're in better shape than the newer ones. I hope this was a one time only glitch and I'm trying to decide whether or not to order another pair when I'm back home this summer. Will be checking other reviews for similar problems.
After a few returns, I finally got a pair of slippers that fit my feet. Not the fault of LLBean, I just have 2 different size feet! When I received my slippers, I put them on and they fit perfectly. They are so warm, and I can even wear them outside. They also are quiet when walking on the hard wood floors. I don't know why it took me so long to purchase these.
My friend told me about her wicked good moccasins from LLBean and how after 20 years she was finally replacing them. I live in Montréal and so you can imagine our winters. I bought a pair for myself and my daughter who always has cold feet. These slippers have become our best friend. They meet us at the door and sit by our beds at night. They are always close by us (actually on our feet) when we are in the house. If I could, I'd wear them to work! I usually wear a 9.5 to 10 and the 9 fit perfectly. It took a couple of wears to pack down the shearling but after that they fit perfectly. I plan to wear my wicked good moccasins till they finally need to be retired, which I think will be about the time I'll be retiring too. And then, I'll buy another pair!
