I've had these for years, and, they are quite possibly the ugliest slippers I have ever owned. Actually, no, they are the ugliest. But you won't catch me dead without them. I can't imagine life without them from October to May.
Ugly, undoubtedly, but the warmest EVER! In this instance, I will take function over form. (If they could make them cute, they would never be able to keep them in stock... hint, hint!)
I choose the dark chocolate brown to keep them looking nicer for a longer time. My husband's pair, which is older than mine, is the natural tan color, and shows more wear and "life" on them. Mine still look pretty nice considering all the wear to which they have been subjected. :) Thanks for the toasty tootsies, LL Bean!
My slippers arrived 5 days earlier than scheduled and I tried them on and they fit like a dream. Slightly too long, but not enough to bother me. The fur is incredibly soft and fluffy. I never want to take them off. Also, the sole is very thick if you want to wear them outside. Also, I got them in Bright Navy and to me, they look a little darker in person than in the photo, but a lovely color!
The shoes are very good and warm. I usually prefer the "Wicked Good" slippers because of the height around my ankles keeping my ankles warm. I missed that with these. However, I really needed tread on the bottom, so went with this pair. I would love in the future if LL Bean added a "Wicked Good" option with tread, then I could have the best of both worlds. Hint hint LL Bean. Maybe by the time I need a new pair, they will have such a slipper.
