I've owned several pairs of these slippers over the years and loved them. This year, my husband got me a new pair in red. They were a beautiful color, but not the same quality as in the past. The stitching was poor and left knots inside the slipper that dug into my foot, and the backs were so stiff they dug into the back of my ankles. As this had never happened before, I figured I'd gotten a lemon pair and so exchanged them. The new pair's stitching was fine, but, again, the backs were so stiff that they dug into the backs of my ankles. The slippers fit perfectly otherwise, so it wasn't a sizing issue. I'm disappointed as I've loved these slippers for years and LLB has changed something about their manufacturing, and not in a good way. I've exchanged them once again, but for a different style. Fingers crossed this next style won't be painful.
I cannot say enough about these slippers! They are so comfy and nicely made. I had mine for about 7 years when I finally wore them down and my toe poked a hole through my slipper. I stopped by the store in Freeport, Maine and showed them what had happened. With no questions asked, they happily gave me a gift card to the store for the exact amount I paid for them. I used the gift card and got another pair and I am so excited to have a new pair of fuzzy slippers on my feet. L.L. Bean is so great because of the customer service they offer. Once you buy something, it really is a lifetime investment with this company. Totally recommend these for anyone looking for a sturdy, soft, and quality pair of slippers!
I have had a pair of these for over a year now and they still look perfect. My mom has also bought a pair and we are both in love. I went to visit her over the Christmas holiday and she was wearing her pair the whole time we were home. I would absolutely buy another pair, but they still look brand new so I have no need!! I have the red color and she has the navy--both are gorgeous. I bought a size larger than what I normally wear (my bean boots are an 8 and these are a 9) but I wanted to be able to wear fuzzy socks and have extra room. They are fabulous! Another reason to love LL Bean.
These slippers are so comfortable and warm. I wear them all the time with socks. It's really convenient to be able to go outside briefly with them on as well. They appear to be a little large in length, even with mid-weight socks on. It doesn't bother me, but it is something I have noticed after wearing them for a period of time. Sometimes my foot does overheat, but it's really not a big deal. They are great for lounging around in!
