These slippers are comfortable, warm and soft. So far they are wearing well. I sized down based on other reviews, and the smaller size is a good fit once they stretched some. My main complaint is that the leather ties are constantly coming untied. I think I would try to find a pair that doesn't tie next time for this reason.
I debated about this purchase because I have never spent this much for a pair of slippers. I love them BUT now after two years of very moderate wear (mornings only) the sole on the heel has worn through and I have had to insert a liner because it also wore through. A few stitches where the sole is stitched to the top have unraveled. I really think they should have been more sturdy but they are so comfortable that I will replace them with the same style.
I wear a size 8 medium shoe and ordered the size 8 in vintage red. Love the color! They were somewhat loose but I tied the laces a little tighter and now they fit nicely. They are so warm and cozy that I don't want to take them off. They slip on and off easily. I definitely recommend them.
