I almost always wear a size 7.5 in shoes. Regardless of make or cost, I'm rarely anything other than a 7.5. I read the reviews that these run big and I ordered a 7. When I tried them on, they were so big that they fell off my feet as I was walking. So, I contacted LL Bean and they sent out a size 6. I was very skeptical that a size 6 could fit me, but when I tried them on, they were a bit tight initially because of the fur lining, but I wore them around the house for a few hours and the fur matted down a bit. The size 6 fits perfectly. They are warm and really comfortable, but the sizing is all wrong! 4 stars because I love the slippers, minus 1 star because the sizing is way off.
At first I thought I'd be writing that I had to return these lovely moccasins because my heel kept slipping out and the odd tag placement by my foot arch was too irritating. I tried wearing the slippers with socks and the problem disappeared. Now that they are beginning to conform to my feet, I no longer need the socks and the tag seems to have settled in so I don't feel it. I find these moccasins warm, cozy, and the thermoplastic rubber soles offer plenty of support. The shearling feels soft against my feet and I enjoy burrowing my toes in the plushness-- a real treat for my feet that only true shearling can provide. My only complaint is that the moccasins are slightly wide, yet the comfort makes up for it.
The slippers are incredible! I was hesitant to order them in red because they seemed bright but I ended up loving the color! They're more of a rustic color. I also usually wear either a 7.5 or an 8 and was not sure what size to order. I ordered the 7 and they seemed tight at first but after a few wears the fur conformed around my feet and they fit perfectly. I have had them for about a year now and they are still as soft as ever. I would recommend these slippers to anyone. I am ordering another pair for my mom this year!
These are wicked warm and comfy. I ordered a medium wide fit, and they feel a little tight, but there is also a lot of fur inside, so if you have a wide foot, make sure to pick the widest option! Otherwise, super comfy and warm!
