These slippers were a gift from my mother in law who has no clue what my style is. These slippers are ugly! But they're warm, which is wonderful living in a drafty house. I am waiting, after 3 years, for them to fall apart so that I can but the hearth side slippers! Well made, warm and cozy, but ugly!
This slippers are amazingly comfortable, and I would recommend them.
My word of caution is that they run very large and very wide. My shoe size is a narrow 7/7.5 depending on the shoe, but in these I wear a size 6. Definitely order down a size/size and a half. I had to send the 7's back because my feet kept slipping out! In fact, my feet slip out of the 6's because of the incredibly soft fur lining. But I think this will change as I wear them more.
Anyways, these are great slippers, definitely buy them but ORDER SIZE DOWN!!
I have owned 3 different pairs of these slippers over the past few years and I am not thrilled with them. Each pair, within just a few months of wear (only inside the house), tore at the seam of the big toe. The fit has been perfect for me, not too big, not too small but for some reason each pair has come apart at the seam. Thankfully LLBean has exceptional customer service and I have been refunded each time but its a pain to have to do that. I have not been able to wear this slipper for a year yet and I find that crazy considering the price. I have never had this issue with any other pair of slippers from other company's so I don't think it's my foot, I do think it's a design flaw. I will say that they are very comfortable and warm...comparable to none, which is why I keep coming back!
The wicked good slippers I bought a few years ago finally wore out. They were wonderful slippers, so I ordered another pair. I was so disappointed that I returned them. The shearling lining was harsh, not soft like the previous slippers. They were heavier and the length was too short. I still wear the same size, so it must have been the slippers. I wish LL Bean would cease having products made in China.
