I usually wear a 9 shoe, though I've been wearing a lot more 8 1/2 lately. Is the shoe industry downsizing like jeans are? Anyway, I ordered both the 8 and the 9. At first I thought the 8 was way too small, but that's because the sherpa was so darn fluffy. Once your feet make their indentation inside of the slipper, you're good to go. Also, leather stretches, so keep that in mind. I tried on the 9 and they felt like they were going to fall off my feet. I tightened the lace (because it's not just for decoration, it's functional!). That helped, but the fit was still loose enough that once the leather stretched and the fluffy sherpa got tampered down, I knew I'd be tripping down the stairs in these things. I am wearing my size 8's as I write this review. Size down if you're in doubt.
There is an irritating tag on the inside of the sole of the slippers that is almost impossible to cut completely off. It is as unwelcome as those nasty tags on the neck of a shirt and just as uncomfortable. Why is it there, for heaven's sake?!
So excited to get these slippers. They are comfortable and warm. Got them in the blue color. They will be great for the cold weather in Oregon. Order these slippers, you will not be disappointed. Thank you L.L.Bean.
My daughter gave me a pair for Christmas. I wear them everynight. They keep your feet warm. They really feel nice after a day in high heels. I actually wear them all year.
