The height of the slipper just wasn't enough for my feet to feel hugged in warmth. Yes they were true to moccasin style, but for winter slippers, they felt inadequate. The shearling fluff on the outside at the top edge was bulky while not providing any warmth for feet inside. Seemed like a waste of shearling & my money. Though I was tempted to keep them, as they were well-constructed and soft, the sole was so heavy it seemed it pulled the slipper down & I felt like they were going to fall off as I walked, even after I tied the leather strings as tight as I could. Yes, I'm very picky, so if you're not, you may love these. Returning them was, of course, no hassle at all.
These are my second pair of Wicked Good Slippers. My first pair the right foot toe wore thru prematurely. I called LLBEAN about it and they honored thier Garrantee.I shipped the defective slippers back and they sent me a new pair !!!! This was the first time that I ever had anything that I had to return because of defective workmanship. And because I have the llbean credit card the return shipping was free! I am a regular shopper with LLBEAN my family and I have been very happy with all the products we have purchased over the years. Back to these slippers they are very warm and cozy to my feet, love the color brown. One improvement could be made add some cushioned foamed rubber and memory foam to give added support to the footbed,as these cannot be worn while standing for a few house in the kitchen. So I switch to my Maine Island Flip flops, I can stand in them all day long,And I have had them for three years! I just LOVE LOVE LOVE these Wicked Good Slippers!!! They keep my feet toasty warm in the mornings and evenings here in central Georgia.THANK YOU LLBEAN for these replacement slippers!!!
I have alternated between these Wicked Good moccasins and the slippers for many years--(love the look of the moccasins, but the slippers feel divine on my feet). A pair usually lasts a year or two for me, and I do wear them nearly every day. This latest pair, while very pretty, felt strange when I slid them on my feet. After a closer look I realized that the uppers had been sewn onto the wrong soles--the left-foot slipper had a right-footed sole, and vice versa. Should have returned them--I foolishly hoped that by wearing them for a while the sheepskin would conform to my feet and correct itself. Disappointed this time, but still a faithful L.L. Bean customer.
This is my third pair of slippers in the Wicked Good line. I had two pairs of the slipper style, and each lasted 5 years before I wore them out. I practically live in these around the house about 75% of the year, so they definitely hold up. This time around I decided to try the moccasin design for a change, and love them. The blue is beautiful, and they took exactly 5 days to break in and be as comfortable as my old slippers (the toes pinched just a bit at first but now they're perfect). I also love the rubber sole more than the suede one of the slipper style, and they definitely keep my feet warm. Another win, LLBean!
