I'd had my previous pair of Wicked Good Moccasins for 3 years and finally asked for a new pair for Christmas this year since they were stretched out and getting bald in spots--which I would certainly expect from a natural product like sheepskin over the course of 3 years. I got the new pair at Christmas, have been wearing them since, and 2.5 months later, these slippers are already bald inside in places and too stretched out to wear comfortably. I noticed that the website says "Now even better!" but they're not :( I'm going to use Bean's generous policy to exchange these and hope I just got a bum pair, but I had the same experience with Wicked Good Slippers--had and loved one pair for years, then bought a new pair with "improvements" and they didn't last even a year--so I'm not optimistic. Please, Bean, stop tinkering with what works!
Received my new Wicked Good slippers and now my toes are toasty warm! I'm very pleased with the fit and the comfort. I'm perhaps even more pleased with the excellent customer service to insure that my order was exactly what I wanted. The one suggestion I'd make is to consider not putting that sharp edged little size tag right in the instep. Couldn't the size be printed on the sole? Or sewn into the tongue? I cut both of them out because they felt like little needles, but it wasn't easy getting the scissors down close enough. Plus I was afraid I might cut a stitch. Overall -kudos!!
I have been wearing these slippers for over a decade (I have gone through several pairs) and they were my absolute favourites until now. With the change of sole the slipper became very heavy and the basic shape of the toe has changed. Now there is so much pressure from the inflexible sole pushing on the outside edge of my big toes that I couldn't wear them at all. They felt wide, stiff and uncomfortable. I almost wept with frustration! If you have wide feet and want a good "outdoor" slipper maybe you'll love these but I will be looking elsewhere to replace my worn out old LL Bean slippers.

Oh, my dear LLBean, thank you for making these slippers!! How dreamy to come home to these lovelies, slip them on and be in heaven! These are my 3rd pair in my 50 years, believe it or not. My first pair lasted through-out my Five Year Plan of the College Years, and into My First Job. The next pair lasted through my Still On My Own & Single years, then into my Happily Ever After married years, until a few years ago. But that pair finally blew a hole in the toe (I'm really hard on my slippers and wear them daily from October to April) and, painfully, I learned to Let Go, and went ahead and ordered a new pair. So here's hoping this pair will last until we add on the new addition to our home, and settle in for our retirement. Seriously. That's how wonderfully well-made these slippers are. The improvements are duly noted, and much appreciated. I'm a long-time lover of LLBean and all the quality products you make, and always will be. Best Slippers. EVER.
