Love these moccasins. They are deep enough to wear with my orthodics. They adjust from the heel to the front by pulling on the leather ties. A much better value than Uggs. Thank you LL Bean!
I purchased these slippers in Vintage Red several years ago and went back for the Brown and Chocolate Brown. I know... I know... one pair of slippers should be enough, but when I couldn't stop staring at them online and in the store, I broke down and bought the two brown ones in the store after Christmas 2013. I don't know if I can wait to pick up the Bright Navy color next season. I put these slippers on at night when I come home from work and the stress of the day just seems to slip away and I am relaxed and happy. Instead of saving them, I'm wearing all of them, switching the colors to match my LL Bean mini tartan plaid flannel pajamas and holiday flannel pajamas. Most important is they keep your feet warm and comfortable. And because of the rubber outsole, I'm able to go outside without slipping or feeling the snow or rain seep into the leather. Although this fine detail can't be seen on the online graphic, the genuine natural colored shearling that hangs over the outside of the slipper on the Brown color is brushed with a honey colored accent color. I highly recommend these slippers.
I purchased these slippers about a year ago. As you can see from the pictures, the fleece is disappearing. I don't wear these all the time. Usually just in the winter months. I use them as slippers, not as shoes, so I don't wear them for long periods of time. I don't understand why this is happening. The rest of the slippers are in great shape!
Pros first: Very comfy and very warm. Absolute heaven to put on at the end of the day. Love the rubber sole so I can run outdoors to put out the garbage or get the mail with these on. I usually get many, many years from my LLB slippers, and I wear them almost every evening during the winter, and sometimes all day on a weekend, if I'm not going out. I was surprised that my last pair, after only one year, began to unravel on the side seam, but I brought them to my local LL Bean store and swapped them for a new pair (love that LLB guarantee!)
Cons: They run wide, and I have a narrow foot, so I have to cinch them tight with the rawhide laces, and still wear socks to keep them on my feet. The laces come undone CONSTANTLY, especially when new and the laces are stiff. Very annoying! I'm thinking about putting a big glob of hot glue on the knot. Would love if the laces were flat and cottony like sneaker laces (though I suppose that would ruin the "look".)
Overall: Can't beat the comfort and the number of years I get out of a pair. I'd buy them again.
