Can't rate performance. Ordered size 7 for Christmas, waited days to "open" then found they are almost an entire size too long and incredibly wide! I wear a straight 7 in most lasts, and have a very wide foot. Surprised sizing was so off. Have been wearing the Wicked Good slippers (bootie style) in a size 7 for years. Now all colors in moccasin size 6 are back ordered until late Feb. That's what I get for ordering early. Boo.
These women's slippers are awesome. My normal size is 10 and when I first put them on I thought, "oh no, a bit to tight" but then I wore them as the information included with the shoes directed and in a couple of hours they fit like a glove. Extremely warm and my feet do not sweat. The sole is thick and sturdy and should last years. Highly recommend these slippers.
Used to love these slippers. Now I find them VERY wide and somewhat long. Ordered a few pair to see if there was a difference. They slip right off my foot. Cannot keep them ties tight enough.
These slippers are wonderful. I ordered them for my mom, as her feet are always cold.

The reason that the slippers “run a bit wide” is in both categories is because is both a good thing AND a bad thing. My mom has wider feet, so the width is a plus for her. I ordered a pair for me, and my feet do not run wide, so this is a slight hindrance for me. The shearling is warm and soft, they wick away moisture to assist in keeping the feet warm. Some reviews mention the ties coming loose. I have observed my mom’s pair for over a month now (before ordering a pair for me), and she has yet to complain about it, and I have yet to see it. If I have this issue, I will consider using hot glue on the knot.
As I work in the Customer Service field, I have insight as to what questions to ask, and proceeded to drill (not meanly, but inquisitively) the representative I received when I called. When my questions became very in depth, she promptly asked me if she could transfer me to a product specialist that could answer all of my questions. And that, they did. I explained any and all of my concerns and questions in regards to the slippers (reliability, durability, longevity, the laces, the width, etc.). It was a 20-30 min. phone call that answered all of my questions in regards to the product, as well as L.L. Beans return policy (lifetime), and that if I wasn’t satisfied, send them back (I’m sure a fee would be taken out for doing so).
The order process (on the phone) was smooth and easy, and the items came a day before the expected arrival. I opened the securely taped box, and pulled out the slippers. I checked for any damage, holes, stains, etc., and found nothing. Excellent all around. And they made a great pre-Christmas gift (I simply could not wait to give her these at Christmas), and she is absolutely delighted.
In summary, excellent service, timing, and quality. As a first time buyer of L.L Bean, I have ordered these same slippers for me, as well as a new coat. Great job L.L. Bean, I have learned quite a few things from the service you have provided.
