I have been buying these slippers for many years. I bought a pair last year and the fit was excellent. They were warm and comfortable as they always are. (the reason for the extra star) However, less than one year later, the rubber sole came unsewn on one of the slippers and the sheepskin insole is completely worn out. I work full time and wear these slippers at night and on weekends in the house during fall and winter. I do not wear them constantly. I have another pair at my vacation home from several years ago, which are still going strong. For $70, the slippers should last. Sorry, but I am bummed about the quality and will not be spending another $70 on these.
I have been consistently unhappy with LLBean slippers. This is my 4th pair that has not held up past one year. Previously, I had purchased the wicked good boots, which, were awful! In all pairs the shearling had started to wear away. In this pair, not only is the shearling coming out, but, the sole is coming apart from the slipper. These are trash after one year. I've returned the other pairs with their lifetime guarantee and had them replaced. And, as always their customer service is great. But, honestly, I'm over it! I'm just going to buy slippers elsewhere.
I have bought these slippers for the past 10 years and can usually squeeze 1.5 yrs. to 2 yrs. out of them. My new pair this year don't have enough padding in the feet like they use to and I feel like I am walking on a cobblestone sidewalk. Very disappointing LL Bean!
