I now understand the meaning of "wicked good". That's how I feel about these slippers. They are perfect, so warm!
With regards to sizing, I normally wear a 7.5 or 8 in shoes depending on the manufacturer. Based on other reviews, I purchased both 7 and 8 and found that the 7 fit better. The size 8 was too big in both length and width. They do stretch. I could still wear socks with the size 7 without having it feel too tight.
these are just not like your old version. unlike ones i've owned before, after only one winter the fleece was completely worn off the back of both heels. i've also found they don't keep my feet warm at all. the cold from the sole seems to just radiate right through, especially around the seams in the shearling. very disappointed, as apparently a lot of other folks are.
I ordered a pair last fall in size 8 and love, love, love everything about them. Definitely a 5 star rating. They were cushiony with lots of thick heavy fleece, the outside was well built and looked like they would last years. So......I ordered another pair to keep at our lake cabin up north. This time I ordered a size 7 as I thought I could go a bit smaller. Well, this second pair is so inferior to the first pair that I simply can not give it any higher than a 3 rating. The outside still looks good, with a well built sole. But, the size 7 is larger than my 8 and the footbed padding is almost nonexistent and the fleece lining is sparce. I ended up putting in a gel orthodic for some padding and need to wear socks with this pair for warmth. I should return them, but they will still suffice for an ok pair of slippers for the cabin. I just so wish they were of the same quality as the first pair I'd ordered.
I recently purchased the Women's Wicked Good Moccasins in Brown, size 7. The shearling is extremely soft and not itchy whatsoever. Well made and good quality leather. You can wear them barefooted as I do or with a pair of socks. I am a true 7 in a normal width and I would say that these moccasins are a tiny bit large - I think a 6.5 would have fit me just fine.
