Everyone in my family has a pair of these slippers in different colors, so I finally broke down and got a pair in blue. I normally wear a size 10 in shoes but since my sister told me hers ran really big I ordered a 9 and the fit PERFECTLY! They run big and are wide which I find comfortable...my feet cannot wait to put these on as soon as I get home. I don't want to take them off. The sole is excellent because I am not worried if I have to pop out for a second to let the dog inside. I bought these in the summer and they are not too warm, I figure that in the winter I will be wearing them with socks.
I needed a new pair of slippers, these looked great. For me, there was too much lining, and they aren't for year round wear, way too hot. I don't think I would have been able to wear them with socks even in the middle of winter. Also I have an 8 month old puppy who thought they might be a new toy for him, when I tried them on he tried to eat them while they were on my feet. If I lived in a cold house, without a young, playful dog, they might have been just what the doctor ordered.
I was bought a pair of the shearling mocs in blue 3 years ago for Christmas by my daughter...I have diabetic feet that turn blue even in the house...the slippers were wonderful the best thing I've ever had on my feet..they were worn every day summer and winter even outside in the summer...I finally wore them out..i'm getting another pair maybe two..I wish I could find shoes that comfortable for my bad feet...
I received a pair of these slippers for Christmas 2012 and within a few months there was a hole in the toe. Brought them back and got a second pair....just returned those because the leather came away from the rubber sole. I wear these shoes only in the house and mostly in the evening....so they do not get alot of wear. I am very disappointed in their performance. If it were not for L.L.Bean's amazing warranty I would not buy them.
