I got a new pair for my daughter because she wore the last pair out in the heel after several years of good use. She received them for Christmas and by April they were literally coming apart at the seams. I was very disappointed. She wants a new pair of slippers but is not sure she trusts Llbean's wicked good claim any more.
Athletics, car wrecks, high heels, genetically flat feet, growing up in Hawaii - all have contributed to my being unable to walk barefoot especially on today's hard floors, such as tile, laminates, and hardwoods. I have to wear slippers around the house. I have had shearling slippers from New Zealand for years but couldn't find the same style and fit recently so I broke down and tried the Wicked Good slipper and they do not disappoint.They cushion my feet and keep them warm, and they have a firm enough sole to walk outside if I need to. I bought a pair for my daughter and she has worn them out in 6 months. They do run smallish - a 7 fits a 7.5; an 8 fits an 8.5 but once you wear them, they conform nicely to the feet. I do recommend them to everyone. They are pricey but worth every penny. Please never discontinue these!
I've worn these slippers morning and evening every day for 3 years and they've still got years of wear ahead! At this rate they might out last me! Cannot over state their comfort, warmth, non slip soles ... and with all the wear I've given them, they still look nearly as nice as the day they arrived. Folks whine a little about draw laces coming un-tied. Mine don't! Tie 'em and yank real hard on the knot - works for me. I wear 7 1/2 narrow shoe ... ordered size 8. Perfect! The wool interior lining is a surprising insulator ...warm in winter but very comfortable in summer, even in muggy Louisiana summers.
I tried these slippers on in the store in a size 7 although I would normally wear a 6. I read reviews of people buying them larger because the said they ran small. I'm glad I didn't order a 7 online because I would be exchanging them! The 7 was falling off my foot! I ordered the size 6 online because they weren't available at the store. They are like a cloud on the feet! I didn't even want to take them off, they are that comfortable! I would recommend them to anyone. I think they are a little pricey but they are soo worth it! They only thing for me is that they run a little wide. I just adjusted the tie on top of the slipper and they fit great!
