I wore out a pair of these slippers, and loved them for years. I just ordered a new pair, but I'm disappointed this time. The fit is sloppy (tried two different sizes). The heel is loose, and feels like I'm going to walk out of one foot, while the other foot is too snug. If there is a new source or new manufacturer, they are not doing the same good job as the last one. The slippers are disappointing for the price. I wouldn't buy them again.
I was used to the older style soft soled slippers from LLBean and it took me a long time to decide to buy the hard-soled ones.My feet are 1/2 sized and it took a few weeks for the length of the smaller shoe to adjust, but now it seems fine. Very comfy, nice to walk in and I like going out to the garbage with the hard sole. Would have like a different color, but the store I go to seems perpetually to be in short supply. I'm happy with the slipper overall.
These are great slippers and are my third pair in 10 years. I have to admit though that I miss the smell and feel of the lanolin on the wool. I think the wool used to be thicker too?
I love these slippers and have worn them for over a decade. My daughter wears my old ones now. We consider the old ones the best of them all (great shearling thickness) but they're all fabulous.
